CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY 2024

As we commemorated International Women’s Day on March 8, PPAG proudly hosted its annual conversation, a hallmark event on our calendar dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. This year’s celebration was particularly significant as it aligned with the global theme of “Inspire Inclusion”, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in all spheres of life.

The event featured a distinguished panel comprising esteemed individuals from various sectors, including Mrs. Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, CEO of Inspire Africa Consult, Mr. Kojo Yankson, Host of Joy FM Super Morning Show; and Madam Martha Akrofie, a member of the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations with the session expertly chaired by Naa Amerley Croffie ESQ.

Under the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Growth”, the panel delved into critical discussions surrounding the empowerment of women and the imperative of investing in their advancement to drive societal progress and economic development.

Attendees were treated to insightful perspective and actionable insights on how to create more inclusive environments and opportunities for women across all sectors. The event, held at the prestigious PPAG Founders’ Center, commenced promptly at 10:00am and attracted a diverse audience eager to engage in the dialogue on gender equality and women’s rights. PPAG’s collaboration with OXFAM Ghana added depth and breadth to the conversation, highlighting the importance of collective eff orts advancing the gender equality agenda.

As we reflect on this impactful event in our March newsletter, we reaffirm PPAG’s commitment to championing the rights of women and girls, creating spaces for meaningful dialogue, and driving positive change towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
