CSOs launch Health Manifesto for Election 2020
Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) working the Health Sector have launched, a CSOs Health Manifesto for the 2020 election to ensure healthy lives and the wellbeing of Ghanaians.
The manifesto is a collective idea of CSOs and represents the perspectives and demands of these organizations who desire to see Ghana on a successful path to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030. These CSOs envision a society where no one is left behind and secure healthcare for all.
Launching the Manifesto in Accra in September 2020, the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator of PPAG, Archibald Adams emphasized that, the Manifesto will be used by CSOs to engage political parties at all levels of governance before the 2020 elections.
He added that, the manifesto will be used to engage Parliamentary and Presidential Candidates of all political parties for Election 2020 and used to engage the winning Presidential candidate and Parliamentary candidates to ensure an improvement in the health sector.
The launch was organised by the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana, Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights, Marie Stopes International Ghana and SEND Ghana and endorsed by 58 CSOs working in the Health sector across the country. Read the full manifesto CSOs Health Manifesto for Election 2020
