IPPF Regional Director for the Africa visits PPAG

Mr Lucien Kouakou, the IPPF Regional Director for the Africa region is visiting PPAG on 14 September 2015. The Regional Director is in the country to confer with the Regional Chairperson of IPPF Africa Region Advocate Mr Kwaku Brenu and also meet the PPAG Volunteers and staff. His visit coincides with the development of a new strategic plan for PPAG which is based on IPPF Strategic Framework.

The Regional Director will also announce IPPF support to the First Lady and the President of the Organisation of African First Ladies Against AIDS (OAFLA) advocacy program on prevention of cervical cancer and HIV in AFRICA. Specifically IPPF is supporting the First Lady’s cervical cancer in Ghana program with $30, 000 for the next three months. The Regional Director of IPPF Africa region will at the meeting with PPAG Volunteers and staff stress the importance of volunteers and voluteerism and young people to the Association.
