Celebrating 57 years of dedicated service, the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) stands as a leading, volunteer-supported, grassroots-based, non-partisan, and rights – based Civil Society Organization in the field of SRHR in Ghana.

Established on March 4, 1967, PPAG has been a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), working tirelessly to complement government eff orts in providing SRHR information and services to the general population. With a focus on adolescents and young people aged 10-24 years, marginalized and vulnerable groups, and underserved communities, PPAG has been at the forefront of championing family planning programs in Ghana for over 56 years.

Throughout its history, PPAG has pioneered various initiatives, including Family Life Education (FLE) for young people, Community-Based Services (CBS), male clinics, and the integration of family planning into community development projects. Transitioning from a focus on family planning to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health from 1999 to 2002, PPAG remains committed to its mission of ensuring access to quality SRHR SERVICES FO ALL.

As we commemorate this milestone, we pay tribute to our founding members – Mrs. Rosina Konuah, Mrs. Banor, Dr. A.A. Armar, Mr. E.S Engmann and Dr. M.A Banor, who sowed the seeds of PPAG with unwavering determination, nurturing it into the thriving reality it is today. Cheers to celebrating those whose dreams laid the foundation for our organization’s continued impact and success.

Happy 57th Anniversary, PPAG!
