PPAG donates PPEs to Asunafo Municipal Health Directorate
PPAG with support from the Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA) Project, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Asunafo Municipal Health Directorate and all the four Partner facilities the project is working with in the Mim community in the Bono Region.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Executive Director of PPAG, Abukari Abdul-Mumin, the Project Officer for the DFPA Project noted that,
PPAG is committed to ensuring that all persons in this country have access to quality SRHR information and services without hindrances. Adding that, there was therefore the need to support partner facilities in these trying moments of COVID-19 to ensure continuous provision of SRHR services.
He also pledged PPAGs readiness to support in anyway it can to ensure that the facilities are well equipped to provide services to the inhabitants of Mim especially the young people and the vulnerable in society.
Receiving the items on behalf of the facilities, the Director of Health, Dr. Eric Acolatse, expressed his profound gratitude to PPAG for this gesture. He also said the Directorate is committed to the partnership that exist between the two organizations and reiterated the readiness of the directorate to support the Project so as to ensure that young people can continue to assess SRHR services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The PPEs that were donated included; Hand sanitizers, Disposable nose masks, surgical gloves, Veronica bucket and stand.
