PPAG participates in IPPF Africa Regional Workshop on Social Enterprise Models

PPAG has participated in an African Regional Workshop to develop social enterprise models. The workshop which took place in Nairobi, Kenya was attended by 18 Member Associations (MAs) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

The workshop introduced IPPF’s Western Hemisphere’s Social Enterprise Program Model, a stepwise methodology for designing social businesses that are desirable to customers, feasible for MAs to implement and financially viable.

All the participating MAs are currently operating income generating activities and eager to evolve them to sustainable social enterprises.

The participating MAs were Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
