Solidarity Message from PPAG to Curious Minds On the Occasion of its 20th Anniversary Celebration Launch, Presented by the Executive Director of PPAG – Dr. Joseph Amuzu

On behalf of the President, volunteers and staff of PPAG, I wish to congratulate leadership and members of Curious Minds. Also congrats from NGB. Indeed, PPAGs relationship with Curious Minds dates as far back as its early days.

PPAGs youth wing, the Youth Action Movement and the Accra Young & Wise Center, have had long standing working relationships with Curious Minds on many of its activities as well as those of other PPAGs youth groups.

As a member of sexual and reproductive health family, PPAG has over the years availed its capacity and systems to Curious Minds, supporting implementation of several of its projects. For example, PPAG served as the funds administrator for Curious Minds for several years during the implementation of UNFPA IPs programme in the Central Region.

The partnership between PPAG and CM has developed over the years and covered areas such as capacity building, organization development support, joint partnerships for grant making and project implementation, events and programmes platform sharing among others.

These have happened and productively so, because the leadership, members and staff of our two organizations have believed in and shared common values and principles -the values and principles of Youth Participation and Adult-Youth Partnerships. The work we do and the people we seek to serve are mainly young people, women and vulnerable groups who for one reason or the other, are unable to access health and their fair share of society’s wealth.

Our Advocacy efforts have, and continue to break grounds and set us out for even greater responsibilities.

Today, as CM celebrates its 20th Anniversary, PPAG wishes to reaffirm its firm commitment to its partnership with you and further state that our shared values and principles must continue to guide us into the future. Surviving the turbulence in the Civil Society Sector amidst the uncertainty of funding, over the past two decades goes a long way to signify that you have been consistent in doing what has to be done and done right.

Your recent success at organising the 7th Africa Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights points to the fact that the future is even brighter and greater.

I therefore, on behalf of all PPAG volunteers and staff, your friends from YAM and Young & Wise, and the NGB wish you a happy anniversary and reaffirm our partnership with you, further into the many years ahead.

Congratulations.
